Arnout Gieske specialises in advising and litigating on intellectual property (IP) law. He has represented clients in media matters, trademark enforcement and national and international patent disputes. Arnout advises on the usefulness and necessity of protecting, enforcing and exploiting IP. Before switching to the legal profession, Arnout worked as a lecturer in Procedural and Private Law at VU Amsterdam. He also worked as a staff lawyer at the Enterprise Division of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and at the Intellectual Property Division of the Hague Court of Appeal. In addition to his work at Van Diepen Van der Kroef, he regularly publishes and lectures on intellectual property and procedural law.
