Hugo van Vliet

Droit du travail

Hugo van Vliet works in the International practice group in Amsterdam. He advises both companies and individuals on Dutch employment law. His work includes drafting employment contracts and settlement agreements, assisting employees in workplace disputes or advising employers on redundancies in the context of reorganisations.

Hugo has an international and multidisciplinary outlook. He was born in France, grew up in Germany and went to school in the Netherlands. Because of this background, Hugo has a real knack for languages: he is fluent in Dutch, French and English and also understands German and Italian. Hugo studied both Law and Psychology in Utrecht and then graduated cum laude from the international and multidisciplinary Master's degree programme in Corporate Law: Law, Markets and Behavior in Amsterdam. After his studies, Hugo worked at several major banks and completed an internship at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, before joining Van Diepen Van der Kroef Advocaten in January 2023.
